History & Development

Ivy Christian College’s primary purpose is to provide a high quality theological education. Ivy Christian College is certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). The State Council of Higher Education is located at James Monroe Building, 101 North Fourteenth Street, Richmond, VA 23219

Ivy Christian College is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: [email protected]], having been awarded Reaffirmation I of its Accredited Status as a Category II Institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on October 30, 2018. This status is effective for a period of ten years. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (NQAAHE).

ICC is authorized by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to enroll non-immigrant students.

ICC is related to the Baptist Churches in America through its church courts. Presently, the ICC is sponsored by and responsible to several Korean Churches of the Baptist Churches in America. The ICC also works very closely with the Theological Seminary Program of the Southern Baptist Churches in the USA.

Currently, Ivy Christian College offers Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies (B.A.B.S.), Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (B.A.B.A.), Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies (A.A.B.S.), Associate of Arts in Business Administration (A.A.B.A.) and English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) programs.
