Our Commitment
IVY College is committed to providing an accessible academic community where students have an equal opportunity to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from their educational experience. Accessibility is part of our responsibility to create a learning environment that supports students with different needs, circumstances, and lived experiences.
Academic Accommodations
Through the accommodation request process, IVY College works with students who have documented disabilities, temporary or permanent injuries, chronic health conditions, or other qualifying needs that may impact access to academic programs, services, campus activities, or digital resources.
Approved accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis. They may vary depending on the student’s documented needs, the nature of the course or program, and applicable institutional policies.
The Interactive Process
Students seeking accommodations are encouraged to begin an interactive process with the college as early as possible. This process allows IVY College to review each student’s individual circumstances, consider appropriate documentation, and determine reasonable accommodations that support access while preserving the academic standards and essential requirements of each course or program.
How to Request Support
Students interested in discussing their individual case or beginning the request process should contact IVY College at info@ivy.edu. If a specific Accessibility Services Coordinator or disability services contact is assigned, students may also be directed to that office for next steps.
Timing & Documentation
Requests to begin the evaluation process can take up to three weeks. Because the review process is important and may require supporting documentation, requests submitted less than three weeks before the beginning of a course may not be completed before the course begins.
Documentation supporting the request should be provided at the time of submission whenever possible.
Accommodation Standards
Accommodations are intended to provide equal access. They do not alter essential academic requirements, fundamentally change the nature of a course or program, or guarantee a specific academic outcome.
Digital Accessibility
IVY College is also committed to making its website and digital resources accessible to users with disabilities. We work to provide clear, usable access to information and services for prospective students, current students, staff, alumni, and members of the public.
Website Accessibility Standards
To support digital accessibility, IVY College aims to follow relevant accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, where feasible. As a U.S. educational institution, we also work to meet applicable obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
What We Do
To support website accessibility, IVY College works to:
Provide text alternatives for meaningful images when feasible
Use clear page structure and readable content hierarchy
Support keyboard navigation where possible
Maintain readable color contrast
Caption video content where feasible
Review website content for accessibility improvements over time
Consider accessibility in website design, development, and content updates
Known Limitations
While IVY College continues to improve the accessibility of its digital materials, some content may not yet be fully accessible. This may include certain legacy documents, third-party embeds, archived materials, PDFs, or tools maintained by outside providers.
When possible, IVY College will work to provide information in an alternative format upon request.
Browser & Assistive Technology Compatibility
The website is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies, including screen readers. Older or unsupported browsers may not provide the best experience.
